Anxious homesellers have endured their no-holds
barbs and constructive home critiques on television for over five
years. Currently airing five nights a week, Designed
To Sell first introduced the public to the no-nonsense real
estate advice of Donna & Shannon
Freeman. As loyal fans know, the Freemans provide the initial makeover
consult based on their combined almost forty years’ experience
helping sellers maximize returns and reducing the time their homes
spend on the market. Now viewers can tune into Secrets That
Sell, the HGTV series starring the vivacious duo.
And this time, it’s personal!
While continuing to help homeowners get the most out of their
selling experiences, the focus of the new show is on sellers desperate
to find out why their homes haven’t sold. Playing “Dollar
Detectives,” the mother and daughter team assess the situations
room by room, arriving at a consensus (hopefully!) as to the primary
obstacle in getting each home sold. Offering pointers and asking
pointed questions along the way, the Freemans’ aim is to
shed some insight into the personal, psychological dramas often
involved in home sales. Secrets That Sell also
hopes to encourage viewers to think critically and objectively
before they rush to stick a “For Sale” sign in the
ground and their homes wind up languishing on the market.
When asked about their new starring roles, Donna squealed with
excitement, “This time, it’s just the two of us left
to our own devices…which, in this case, are our big mouths.”
“We’re actually going to meet the sellers face-to-face
this time,” exclaimed Shannon. “We’re walking
around in a panic. And that may be the biggest secret of all.”
